Here at ESB, we happen to think we reside in the best looking building on Brickell Avenue. Some might think us to be a little biased but our building is, in fact, quite the star, making cameo appearances on the USA Network’s hit show, Burn Notice, CBS’s CSI: Miami, and the major motion picture Miami Vice, among others. In addition to catching Hollywood’s eye, the Espírito Santo Plaza was awarded the American Council of Engineering Companies’ coveted “Platinum Award of Engineering Excellence” in 2004. Whether you’re a fan of movies, architecture, or just the culture of downtown Miami in general, chances are you’ve seen our building!
The Espírito Santo Plaza opened in July of 2004 after 3 years of construction and was designed by the renowned architectural firm Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates . Its 36 stories are home not just to our offices but also to the Hilton Hotel’s Conrad which was named the “Luxury Hotel of the Year” in 2010. The prestigious hotel features restaurants, a fitness club, residential units and other offices, and a garage that can house nearly 1,000 cars at a time. The building’s exterior is instantly recognizable thanks to its unique, sloping face. According to the Espírito Santo Plaza’s website, the visually striking “concave figural arch” was designed to symbolize the gateway to Latin America. To be sure, from the 11-story atrium lobby to the tennis courts and pool located on the roof, The Espírito Santo Plaza stands out from the crowd in the Brickell skyline.
Of course, we believe the most impressive features of the plaza are the members of the ESB family who work there every day. Keep your eye on this site to learn more about how we, like our building, stand out from the pack.
